
The Association of Nigerian Students at Chulalongkorn University (ANSCU) is delighted to honor the remarkable achievement of Mrs. Deborah Oyetolani Ogar, a Master’s researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
Deborah’s research paper, “Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Potential through Transition from Gasoline-Powered to Electric Motorcycles by Using SUMO: Preliminary Case Study of Sathorn Area in Bangkok,” was awarded the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Sustainable Energy 2024 (ICUE 2024), held in Pattaya City, Thailand, from October 21–23, 2024.
This innovative study utilized the Simulation of Urban MObility (SUMO) platform to evaluate the potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by transitioning from gasoline-powered to electric motorcycles in Bangkok’s Sathorn area.
Deborah’s work provides critical insights into sustainable urban mobility, offering a scalable model for reducing carbon footprints in densely populated cities.
