Best Poster Award, PACCON 2025.

The Association of Nigerian Scholars at Chulalongkorn University (ANSCU) is excited to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Ms. Modupe Adunni Raphael, a master’s researcher in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University.

Modupe’s thesis titled “Geographical classification of okra based on chemometric analysis of polyphenolic compound data obtained from HPLC-UV and LC-MS analysis” was awarded the best poster award in the food, agriculture, and cosmetics section at the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference 2025 held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Modupe’s study integrated analytical and chemometric techniques to geographically classify okra based on its phenolic profile. This developed analytical procedure serves as a tool for okra farmers to discriminate their product through geographical indication, thereby contributing to economic growth.

This award underscores Modupe’s contribution to food authenticity and traceable research using analytical techniques.

ANSCU celebrates and congratulates Modupe on this achievement.
